On Education Trends: CAMPUS TECHNOLOGY January 2014

This "project" was launched initially when I ran across an Open Education Course that required a blog to be launched.     I have continued this to reflect upon Education in general and some of the key trends--including MOOCS.   MOOCS's  have caught fire--but the long-term viability continues to undergone scrutiny:  CAMPUS TECHNOLOGY January 2014

On Why a Sense of Faith in Education is Critical: Thoughts From Dr, King

Life's most urgent question is:
what are you doing for others?
- Martin Luther King, Jr.

When people get caught up with that which is right
and they are willing to sacrifice for it,
there is no stopping point short of victory.
- Martin Luther King, Jr.

Never succumb to the temptation of bitterness.
- Martin Luther King, Jr.

Whatever your life's work is, do it well.
Martin Luther King, Jr.

We must accept finite disappointment,
but never lose infinite hope.

On the Beauty of Education and the Need to Keep an Open Mind.....

This is a "channel" that has been dormant, but I hope to resurrect.    I ran across this courtesy of Jonathan Luckwood Huie who does great work in helping to transform our thinking and outlook on life--and believe in the art of the possible.

This "snapshot" of thoughts epitomizes the beauty of Education:

The greatest obstacle to discovery is not ignorance -
it is the illusion of knowledge.
- Daniel J. Boorstin

The problem with making assumptions
is that we believe they are the truth
- don Miguel Ruiz

The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie,
deliberate, contrived and dishonest,
but the myth, persistent, persuasive and unrealistic.
- John F. Kennedy

Believe those who are seeking the truth.
Doubt those who find it.
- Andre Gide
