Notations On Our World (Weekly Edition): A Window Into Our World Celebrating The Performing Arts....

As August is before us, we hereby present this courtesy of the Farhang Foundation:celebrating the performing arts:

Darya Dadvar Performing BAROON BAROONEH
In March of 2020, the great Darya Dadvar was scheduled to grace the Farhang Foundation stage at UCLA's Royce Hall for the 12th Annual Celebration of Nowruz as part of her first-ever debut Los Angeles concert. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, that sold-out concert event was canceled in consideration for the health and safety of our guests, Ms. Dadvar and her musicians.

Today we are thrilled to be able to share this exclusive live performance of Ms. Dadvar at one of her last pre-pandemic concerts in London, performing the classic Iranian folk song Baroon Barooneh (Rain Rain).

We hope you enjoy this beautiful performance, and we thank Ms. Dadvar for sharing this clip with us. Special thanks to the team at BBC Persia, and all the musicians involved.
