Notations From the Grid: On A Cultural Legacy & Freedom

A new week is before us in #Outsiders as spring has also dawned.   For this edition of "Notations from the Grid" we first decided to feature an old prayer from Dariush The Great, King of the Persians on the advent of the New year: 




It asks that the Almighty save Iran from The Enemy, From Drought and from Lies.   It is at Persepolis and is about 2500 years old.   It is part and parcel of the cultural legacy that is at the heart of our World which is under attack by the merchants of death of the Islamic State.

The Education Journey that continues today is ever so important to preserve the freedom that it requires to be preserved.    It is ever so critical especially as one has to embrace this admonition from Daniel Ellsberg who had the courage to expose the profound shortcomings that underpinned the Vietnam War:
