Notations On Our World (Special Mid-Week Edition): On Safe Speeds in the United States

For this "mid-week" edition of "Notations", our team chose this courtesy of the team at Vision Zero that goes to the heart of the need for Traffic Safety here in the United States:

NTSB released a landmark study in August 2017 underscoring the deadly problem of speed in the U.S. and urging action to save lives. The study serves as a wake-up call for government at all levels, as it identifies a dangerous lack of attention and action toward a problem related to 10,000 deaths on U.S. roadways each year. NTSB makes 19 recommendations to states and national organizations to modernize outdated policies and practices and allow for countermeasures proven to work.
The Vision Zero Network was honored to have NTSB staff and study authors join us in this exclusive webinar to discuss their #speedstudy.
Read here for the Network’s take on the #speedstudy, why we think it validates Vision Zero city work across the country, and some of the key study findings and recommendations.
